I was the very proud owner of an American Pit Bull for 13 years; and while you are certainly entitled to your opinion it would be wrong to discriminate against any breed due to reputation.I Have a son who was bitten by a rottweiller at the age of 17 months; will I ever own one because of his experience..probably not, but I do like the breed as well as many others.I am a firm believer that it is all in how an animal is raised that determines who they are.Perhaps a little more thought should be given to the human race and less to wanting to "persecute" a breed for an individuals actions, if such is the case.Please note:We had to have our 13 year old put to sleep due to old age; but we now have another one who raised with love and discipline will be every bit as wonderful as he.I feel sorry for your shortsightedness as you may miss out on a lifetime friend. I'm writting this in memory of Splinter, my friend of 13 yrs.Well known and loved by many in Napanee.
