He sighed softly, cuddling her closer to his side. "How's she doing today?" He hadn't wanted to focus on this but Jake always came up in conversation - he was so close and important to all of them that it was hard not to dwell on the fact that he wasn't with them anymore and wouldn't be for who knew how long.
