Subject: Some things never changed, and consquentially, there he was: piles of work to do and he was racing cars on his PS2 - an addition to the office that his wife was particularly unfond of. His son was in his office and nearly sitting down before he paused the game, turned his dark gaze to the young man, and broke a slow grin - really he was just so glad to have his 'baby boy' back close by where they could keep an eye on him. He couldn't help worrying - it was his duty as the father of an only son. "Hey hotshot. How's my boy?"

  • He knew his dad worried about him, hell, everyone did. That was one of the reasons it had been so nice to get away, no one babied him or asked him how he was feeling every two hours like his mother did. He understood her concern but for a little while, it was just nice to be treated like a normal person. One hand reached up to run through his hair before he shrugged off the bag and tilted his head to the side. "Good, real good, just got back from the house and mom said you were here, after she cried for like twenty minutes of course." His mom was one of the toughest women he knew, 'cept when it came to her kids and then she was always teary eyed. He knew also, that the time he had been away had been hard on - she was constantly worrying if he was eating right, taking all his meds but he really had been taking care of himself - mostly - and had a good time. He really was glad to be home though and it showed on the relaxed expression on his face. (NT) -- Austin, 08:19:33 11/02/04 Tue
