His hand twisted in his hair for a moment before he came out around the desk, his eyes on her completely honest as he reached forward to take one of her small hands in his. "I am sorry, Mia, for real." He sighed softly, shrugging as his thumb stroked the side of her hand. "You know I am not the brightest guy around when it comes to people and...I dunno....I just didn't want to deal with you being mad at me or the possibility of getting slapped in the middle of the club or something...I was being a big baby but I didn't know how you were going to react to me.." He turned hopeful eyes up to hers, the corner of his lips turned up just a bit in a slight smile. "I did miss you though."
