She was leaning over the railing in the VIP area, her eyes on the crowds below as the young man next to her went on and on about what a great place it was, how lucky she was to be a co-owner here, and all sorts of other praises that she cared nothing about. The club was her fathers favorite child, not hers. He handled everything about it - she just took advantage of the free drinks, VIP areas, and preferential treatment. Lucas Laurence was a man who was known around here - and dropping his name could usually get her the world. Clearing her throat she eyed the guy. She was taking night classes at the local college, and he'd been asking her out for weeks. He was good looking, and seemed nice enough... "Yeah, it's great, wanna dance?" She smiled at his immediate eager response before leading him downstairs to the dancefloor, falling into her element there.
