Subject: Devotion


"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
--Romans 8:18

The last few days have been weighed with a heaviness of hurt and loneliness.
After much prayer and heart searching, God revealed the problem is the product
of my failure to read his word and hide it in my heart.

"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall
lead them unto living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes." Revelation 7:17

Our Father will allow a certain amount of suffering but the day will come when
the hurt and suffering will come to and end, he promises to wipe away our tears
-the creator of everything, personally wiping away our hurt. Think about it.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged
sword. Piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12

God's word is the answer to any question, problem or predicament in
which we find ourselves. We must commit our lives to his word.
We must schedule time to read, study and hide his word in our hearts.

"And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall
know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one according to your works." Revelation 2:23

God is a God who can not lie. Are you proud of your works, words and/or
thoughts?

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." Hebrews
13:8
Since he never changes, you can claim any promise in the Bible. Any!

"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no
respecter of persons;" Acts 10:34 What God has done for others, if your are
obedient and touch his heart, He will do it for you.
".this veil of misunderstanding can be removed only by believing in
Christ." 2 Corinthians 3:14 If you have trouble reading and understanding the
word, you might want to check out your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Father, I pray your words will touch the heart for which they were
intended. We thank you for your never ending love. You know the hurts, prayers,
needs, desires and help needed by each and every child who has come to you with
a prayer. We lift these prayers to you in the name of Jesus. We stand on your
word as the living truth that never changes. We praise and thank you for your
blessings and the favor you will give us this day, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
