Acts of the Apostles: 4:13-14, Judges 6:13-16

When we look at Judges 3:31 we see that shamgar delivered Israel with a long wooden rod (ox goad) used for driving animals. The reason why he destroyed 600 Philistines was because he had Faith in what God can do. Imagine if he had said no way can I destroy 600 Philistines with an oxgoad then he would not been able to carry out his ministry for the Glory of God to deliver Israel.


In 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 God reminds us that God can use the base things, foolish things and the weak things of the world. We may at times feel inadequate to perform a ministry or task that God has assigned us to do. We could feel fear that we are not eloquent as some. We could feel fear because of our cultural background or look at others and think they are so powerful and bold. We could look at our upbringing and feel inadequate. But God requires us to know him in order we can know our Ministry and our talents and gifts. That we can use them by faith, operating in the power of the Holy Ghost.


Look at the Acts of the Apostles 4:13-14. The leaders of Israel were amazed at the boldness of the Apostles because they perceived they were unlearned and ignorant men and perceived that they had been with Jesus. If we look at Judges 6:13-16 key verse 15. We see Gideon was not confident in his calling and ministry but the Lord reminded him in verse 16 that the Lord was with him. Whatever how ministry let us put our trust in the Lord because God can use us in a mighty way.
