Subject: Count your blessings - and post them here :)

Now, if you are feeling down right now, think about what's good. I am in a contented mood at the moment, though very tired (it is 10.30. late for me!)
Anyway, it would do me well to remember this next time I feel depressed. Trouble is, my depression (which feels SUPER bummed out) isn't half as bad as what other people get =( which makes me feel sad, because I don't like to think about other people in pain. And it makes me feel silly, for feeling sorry for myself, because what do I have to complain about? But of course, remember girls, you always have the right to whinge! :) lol I will regret saying that. But what am I talking about? This is supposed to be a happy, up-lifting post!!
So, rather than say - "Look, Jamie over there, his father got killed last week, so how can you complain?" and make you feel worse about yourself, I will make you feel BETTER!
What are your blessings?
My blessings are-
Living
Being me (Yes, I hate myself sometimes, but I am happy to be me)
Reading - the ability and satisfaction
The fact that my drawings aren't QUITE as bad as they used to be
Summer rain
To live in a nice house in a nice country - nah, BEAUTIFUL country, if you haven't been to Australia you are a big silly goose! You must visit it soon (lol you would think I was employed by the tourism industry)
A loving family, all of whom support me
The fact that the most traumatising things in childhood were things like "when Mum threw out my red kitty dress" (actually, she didn't throw it out, I outgrew it, and it is in my cupboard!)
The fact that mum didn't throw out my kitty dress!
I can access the internet and have fun - talk to my friends, read stories, etc etc
I have brains *is proud* Yes, that's right.. I'm.. a .. NERD!! I enjoy learning! etc etc
Freedom of speech
My parents challenge me and make me think
ENGLISH TELEVISION *toots imaginary car horn* ooh, how can I count the scrummy programmes? Jonathon Creek and The Bill and Living with the Braithwaites.. ohh, sooo many choices.. what English TV I watch tonight? :) Of course, there is always !!MDA!! (Australian) and !!ER!! (American, and the BEST SHOW EVER!!! :) ee can you guess I like medical dramas?) Oooh, the Vicar of Dibley! (English) they rarely show it but it's VERY funny!

Teehee I think out of all of those the greatest blessing is English TV!! *drools* I only noticed a few weeks ago that most of the shows I watch regularly throughout the year are English! (they used to mostly be American, but I have lost faith in X Files and Buffy, and Charmed is long past "losing faith" it's into "My god, did I ever actually watch this (explicit)" :) Well, I'm tired, and the logical thing seems to be to go to bed! EEE I am excited, despite the fact school is starting in less than a week, I am happy - swimming on Sunday, and going to Matt's, and possibly a friend over Sat! EEE *jumps off the walls from that little drug I like to call "fatigue"*
Referring to note above - school starting. Therefore, shall not be on much *sobs* lucky you guys, you no see me looong time :)

Anyway, now I'm actually gonna shut up (it's a miracle!) and go to bed. Night!
