Subject: Nicholas

About a month or so ago, I exchanged emails with a girl named JJ. She was mean at first, and then nice once I discovered why she was being mean. JJ's little brother Nicholas had been hit by a car and was dying and she had been in the hospital with him day and night. The doctors said he wouldn't last past Christmas, but resiliant Nicholas did. JJ just wrote me today, saying that Nicholas had died on December 27, 2002. He was eight years old. She asked me to post about Nicholas, not, she said, "to have pity on my family and i, but so people can know that a wonderful young boy, Nicholas Evan Pringle, once lived." Before the holidays began, JJ wrote to me just after having been in the hospital to spend time with Nicholas. Her whole family was gathered around him very sad, and she said he said something like(i dont have the email anymore) "why the long faces guys? come on, let's make it a happy plac e it's so gray already!" I don't know much about Nicholas, but JJ asked me to post something about him here...JJ said Nicholas's persona was so great and he was always happy and smiling and making people feel great about themselves. JJ has a big family--she's one of 8 or 9 i think, with a lot of older siblings and two younger. Anyway, she wanted me to post, and I promised I would, so here I am. Nicholas sounded like a great person.
