Subject: Story

Hey Girls, I know we've been having some people who've been depressed lately, not just yesterday but a while before that too! My anatomy teacher told us this story today, it's true, and the man in it is one of her & her husband's friends. I hope it'll make someone realize how much they have to live for.

There was a man that worked in a gym. He was always a prety happy guy, but lately, he was getting depressed. He thought nothing was going right, and he was stressed out about everything in his life.
The man finally got so desperate that he decided to end his life. He went out that night, and took a lot of pills, alcohol, more pills, and more alcohol. He then went home and went to bed with no intention of waking up in the morning. He left his family & friends a note, and made one last phone call.
Miraculously, the next morning, the man woke up. Surprised and thrilled that he didn't die, he told himself that it was meant to be. He realized how much his life meant to him. He went to work that day, happy to be alive and convinced that he was going to turn his life around.
The man was still feeling a little sick, and his co-workers certainly noticed. Everyone was coming up to him and telling him that he looked awful.
The man was dead two days later.
The combination of alcohol and pills stayed in his system, killing him even days after his suicide attempt.

I hope that will help some of you who have ever thought about ending your lives think again. There are so many people who love you, and even though you don't realize it, things will improve, they will get better, and you will pull your way through! There's always light at the end of the tunnel.

[> wow Ally. thats a pretty interesting story. ya I have also been depressed lately. I think alot about ending my life. but I dunno I also re-think it, but then I think about it more. like a few weeks ago I started writing a good-bye letter, but then I put it away. I still have it and I dunno I might just continue writing one day. this story kinda helps me though. I mean I dunno what I will do, I am really depressed lately. weird =/ -- , 02:27:25 01/15/03 Wed (ca-santamonica-cuda2-c4c-82.stmnca.adelphia.net/68.70.46.82)

Flute teachers destroy lives....So does band......just no one understand what my past teachers were like, they keep pushing me and telling that I'm not good like the others at this new school I'm at b/c I probably had more teachers then substitutes last year(s).I try not to let this get me,but it just hurts....a lot.

[> Very meaningful story Ally! Thank you for sharing it. :) I think that there's some sort of hormone in teenagers that makes them depressed at one time or another, because all teenagers think about ending their lives or wishing they were dead at one time or another. :-\ -- , 02:43:57 01/15/03 Wed (bgp01031425bgs.sothfd01.mi.comcast.net/68.41.232.142)
