Subject: Log in problems for new players

It has been brought to my attention of several people who are having difficulty accessing the shard. Below are some instructions and helpful hints that have worked for others.

Before you do anything, within your Ultima Folder, create two new folders, name one Hurachai, the other name Original. (create a folder for all shards you play that require altered files)

On Hurachai there are 4 altered files, they are :
Login.cfg
Map0.mul
Staidx0.mul
Statics0.mul

Before you do anythng else these files should be copied into your Original Folder. Then download the required files from this website, Unzip them to the Huachai folder. Once that is done, open your Hurachai folder, and using notepad create a text document called Login.cfg. It should contain only one line as follows:

LoginServer=24.163.89.88,5003

then save.

Now to play Hurachai, open the Hurachai folder and highlight all 4 files, then right click and hit copy. Go back to your Ultima Directory,then right click, and hit paste, the four files will overwrite those that are there.
Once the files are through copying, you can log on to the internet and play. Remember, to use a 1.26.4x version of client. To go back to the regular shards, just repeat the process using the files in the original folder. Remeber during this cut and paste process, UO cannot be running.

It has also come to my attention, that some still have problems. For whatever reasons, which I do not quite understand, some of the problems that occur can be fixed by reinstalling UO then patching up, then following the instructions above. It has been brought to my attention that over a prolonged period of time, the client files may become corrupted, reinstallation solves that problem.

Also if you have a slower connection, I would download the files one by one instead of trying to download them all at once. If you have problems, or have expreinced problems with this, then feel free to contact us. We will offer what ever advice we can.
