Yes! 120 Max is Implemented.

Once you hit 100-120 skill points in a single skill you will be a Grandmaster.

Concerning benefits of having 120 vs. 100 in hiding and arms lore. All skills test are done using algorithms obviously, so the only real advantage is that you chances for success will be higher. You may not notice a differance (Even Thought there is)in Arms Lore but should in Hiding. With hiding you get penaltys when people are around you; by having a 120 it should counter act them to some degree.

As far as animal lore is concerned I am not sure that it will benefit you , because I am not sure if and how this skill interacts with taming. Perhaps I can give a better answer at a later date.

As far as judging skill levels (values) the idea is too eliminate numbers so that players aren't sure how much skill they have exactly but do know what potential they have. Although, you can tell how many skill points you have if you set your client options to notify you when you gain skill points. This is kinda a bug but it does not hamper game play so it is way down the list for being fixed. Feel free to use it to your advantage.

Concerning the bard situation. This is very high on my list of things to fix probably #1 at this point after I find time to look at it bards will be able to wear up to Chain and play instruments with weapons in hand. Although if you consider reality could you weild a sword and play harp simultaneously plus you are fighting for your life aswell. You get my point! But I like bards so I intend to disable the realistic approach.
