*Brannon, you said this:*

I was sitting in on a discussion between my grandmother and a missionary (a Mormon one) and they where discussing ways that the Catholics cross yourself the woman said, "well I think god really doesn't care how you do it and probably doesn't even want you to I mean that's just Pagan

*End Snip*

I wanted to clarify something for you about the use of the word pagan. Christians use that word to identify the "lost" or the unbeliever. The two definitions below taken from Webster is I guess where we get it from. I just know that Pagan is opposite of Christian.

Now, my brother and his family and I used to live next door to some people (who we were friends with) but who my brother called "pagan." My understanding of that at the time was, they don't know God, they're into other things not of God. When he told me they were pagan, it was actually a warning to me as a Christian.

PAGAN:
1 : HEATHEN 1; especially : a follower of a polytheistic religion (as in ancient Rome)
2 : one who has little or no religion and who delights in sensual pleasures and material goods : an irreligious or hedonistic person

and for further clarification here is the definitions of the word HEATHEN:

1 : an unconverted member of a people or nation that does not acknowledge the God of the Bible
2 : an uncivilized or irreligious person

So, Christians and other religions look at Pagans as according to the definition. Unbelievers, of the world, among the lost.

Here are some synonyms for the word PAGAN: heretic, antichrist; pagan, heathen; painim, paynim; giaour
