Subject: ARIA NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED! (and we're looking GOOD!!)

YAY!

"The shortlist for the ARIA Awards was announced today with Kasey Chambers, Kylie Minogue, Silverchair and Alex Lloyd all tying with 6 nominations but Silverchair have a head start having already being announced as the winner of 3 of their awards.

At the announcement ceremony today, the winners of 4 categories were announced with Silverchair winning Producer of the Year, Engineer of the Year and Best Cover Art for Diorama.

1200 Techniques know they have already won one, scoring the Video of the Year award. They were also announced in the Best New Artist single and Best New Artist album categories.

The Vines (who this time last year were unknown) are also going to give the show a shake-up with 5 nominations this year.
George, 1200 Techniques and Holly Vallance also have multiple nominations.

The prestigious Album of the Year award is between Kasey Chambers, Kylie Minogie, Silverchair, Alex Lloyd and George.
The awards will be held in Sydney on Tuesday October 15.
