Subject: Hey lookie! I TOLD yas my accent was well-known!!

Woo-hoo! Like I've said a billion times before, the Ottawa Valley accent is it's own entity, known all over Canada and the U.S, too. :) Lookie what I just found:

"Ontario- This varies a lot depending on the region. The Southern Ontario accent is very "clipped" (see above comments on the raised vowel). The American Bordertown Ontario accent mixes the Buffalo, New York accent with the Canadian. The Ottawa Valley Ontario accent has a heavy Irish influence to it. The Northern Ontario accent often compared to a redneck accent."

Ahh. I feel so proud. :)

J.
