Subject: i'm back, i've heard diorama, and am not seeing sc this summer

hey all. i'm alive :)
for a while i've been meaning to come here to tell you that and to confess that silverchair is no longer my #1 band. officially. its been unofficial for a long long time. i wish i could make it so it was, but it jsut doesn't work. it doesn't fit anymore. i didn't preorder diorama but today i was walking through hmv and got REALLY confused because what should i see right there at the listening station? yup. diorama. in all its rainbow glory. i know i shouldn't have cheated, should have waited but since they're not my favourite band its sort of alright...anyways i liked where it was going. the more poppyish influence, the integration of retro-ish styles, other instruments - very cewl. it was an import by the way, in case you were as confused as i. the special version. it was $27.99 - should i have bought it? its funny, a few years ago i would have snatched it up without a second thought (after fainting and suffering a mild stroke of course).
i could continue prattling on and justifying why i just don't relate that much to sc anymore but i fear it would be boring and depressing and such.
oh. another question i'm pondering is whether or not i should still go to edgefest. despite my lack of enthusiasm about everything, they were the only reason i was going and i don't know if i should bother. nickelback, cake and more will still be there. i don't know. i'll have to penser. and consult my friends.
and i hope daniel gets better!
