Subject: im so gossipy but i have to correct myself

... i know i posted that article about dan and nat breaking up... but i was at the rockdirt archives today and this article was up which says they are still together....

NATALIE Imbruglia has angrily denied reports she dumped her boyfriend, Silverchair singer Daniel Johns.
A story in a British newspaper claimed Imbruglia had ended her three-year relationship with Johns after a mercy dash to Australia to be with the ailing singer last month.

Another story claimed Imbruglia went to the Glastonbury music festival in England at the weekend to see a new boyfriend, Chris Martin, singer for British band Coldplay.

"Daniel and I are 120 per cent still together," an emotional Imbruglia told the Herald Sun yesterday.

"Daniel is the one for me, absolutely.

"I just want people to know the truth. I have a pretty good sense of humour and I can laugh off most of what's written about me, but not this. It's a very sensitive situation at the moment when someone's not well and I'm so far away."

Johns has put Silverchair's touring plans on hold while he recovers from reactive arthritis, staying at his New South Wales home while Imbruglia works on a film in London.

Imbruglia was incensed by the notion she would break up with her ill boyfriend.

"It's just not fair, it's not fair on me or on Daniel. It's hard enough being apart. The last thing we need is to have to deal with lies," she said.

"I went with my girlfriend to Glastonbury on the weekend, and come Monday morning, I've split up with Daniel and now I've got a new boyfriend supposedly.

"Why would I confide in a journalist and lie about my situation with Daniel?

"It's really obvious the whole thing has been made up."

Imbruglia interrupted filming on her first movie, Johnny English (also starring Rowan Atkinson) to fly home to Johns in May. Imbruglia also said she planned to write most of her next album in Australia so she can finally live with Johns.

Imbruglia's new single, Beauty on the Fire, will be released next month with a steamy video filmed underwater.

She is also about to be seen in a series of L'Oreal advertisements, and is juggling movie offers.
