Subject: My latest "Road Trip"... lol

My friend Amelia and I were waiting for our busses tonight and she turns to me.

Amelia: "Jenna... d'ya wanna come to my house?"
Me: "SURE!"

So we ran up and got a bus pass, and I went home with Amelia for no reason at all, didn't tell my parents, just left. :)
We get to her house out in the boons, and as soon as we get into her room she goes,

Amelia: "My house is boring. Let's go to Arnprior!"
Me: "SURE!"

So we hop in her mum's car and drive down some dirt roads and highways and end up in Arnprior (the next town), 30 minutes later.

Jenna: "Hey! Let's go SHOPPING!"
Amelia: "YAY FOR THE ARNPRIOR MALL!"

So we go to the "mall" (if you can call it that- it's almost as small as OUR mall!), and bargan shop for an hour or so (Warehouse One had a sale on and Amelia got a shirt for 8 bucks, and SAAN is alllways cheap, so I got two shirts for 12 bucks total and she got two pairs of earrings and 12 AA batteries for $4.25.

Amelia: "Let's go crusin' the main street!"
Jenna: "SURE! Wait... where's the main street?"
Amelia: "I dunnooo..."

So we got lost, but eventually we found the main drag, and since it's a Wednesday, most of the stores were closed, so we got back in the car ('Melie parked in a puddle, by the way... "just for you, Jenna!") and started driving again.

Jenna: "You hungry?"
Amelia: "Yup."

So we went to Wendy's/Tim Hortons and ate supper- baked potatoes and fries and Frosties, and then hot chocolate and a Party Pak of Timbits (little balls of donutty goodness...) and drove back to Amelia's. We watched videos from our class projects that we've done (Charlotte Whitton- Renfrew resident and Canada's first mayor... "The '50's!"... Commercial overdubs... funnny...), and then we got bored.

Amelia: "Let's go into town!"
Jenna: "SURE!"

So into Renfrew we went. We drove around, just 'crusin', for three hours- and Renfrew's pretty damnedable small, so that was pretty wild. We saw a "big ball tree" and then realized there were two- we laughed so hard we almost ran off the road... we drove by the other high school and gave it the finger- and then Amelia stalled the car (standard trannie. YAY. :) ). Common quotes:

"Yeah... pretty sure I just failed my road test there!"
"You scared yet, Jen?"
"Two ball trees... HAHAHA!"
"Aww man... are we lost?"
"Arnprior is coool... dirty and gross and ugly, but coool..."
"Hey look! An LCBO!"
"OH OH OH OH! Goooood song! Turn it up, baybee!"
"Look ma, no hands! Look ma, no-- AHHH! SHIT!"
"Are your headlights working, 'Melia?"
"Crack the cardboard, BAYBEE!"
"No... if I was scared, I'd say, 'HOLY FUCKING SHIT!', not 'AHHH! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!'"

So then we realized we couldn't drive around anymore cuz there was nowhere else to go, so 'Melia drove me home and on the way we stopped at my old elementary school and played on the swings (yes, at 9:30 at night... lol). And then I went home.

Fantastic mid-week road trip, I say. We're going to Pembroke (two towns away... lots bigger and TWO malls! :) ) on Friday- that is, me, Amelia, Ansa, Jesse and Maia... should be wild. Yeah. We may end up going to Ottawa. And we may end up back at Jesse's with lots of booze. :) But don't worry, no drinking and driving. That's just WRONG. lol
