Date Posted: 20:13:04 04/11/02 Thu In reply to: Les 's message, "Dublin last night?" on 11:58:55 04/11/02 Thu i was there. haven't time to write a huge review right now but it was fucking excellent. setlist was much the same as they're been playing recently - 2 new songs followed by one old. played 5 from BIO, 1 from LS, 1 from Mep, all from new album except even song and army dub. i must say i was very impressed with melaton, the support band - i'm gonna get into them i think. olly was excellent as ever, blackie played a funk bass solo, ian was drunk and cool, ben swung his towel round his head like a crazy man during one song, tom got the crowd going and played a cool paul mccarthy bass on in our gun and dajon was a "percussive beast" on stage. the lights didn't fail, they rocked and my voice is ragged today from singing my little heart out. and thanks to the guys who passed me a joint during rex kramer - i'll return the favour at the next gomez dublin gig.
