have you people seen meeting people is easy or what? thom says there 'its a complete head fuck' he admits 'fear' that it will change him for the worse. he knows that the hype, the explosion that was the media and the public over ok will change the band forever. and it has. but the thing is, it hasn't changed them for the worse (well not in my opinion) ok computer was a beautiful album, as was the bends and pablo, all of their guitar stuff is simply magestic (haha that's my msg board word) but kid a and amnesiac are just as amazing. listen to it, listen to it live, it's all still there, it's all still beautiful, radiohead are still a fuckign fantastic band. yes, they've changed, yes the hype over ok has almost certainly been instrumental in that, but don't we all change? if they'd jsut kept spinnign out oks, we'd be bored and sittign here talkign about how they need to move on, radiohead, like gomez, still make music for themselves, again as thom stated, they've become accustomed to the lives which they now lead, but they'll never be broke, people will always buy their albums, people will always turn up on mass to their concerts and so they have the freedom to do what they like. the beauty of these bands is that they can never be 'sold out' and so what if a lot of people like them. shakespeare was liked by many, does that mean his work becomes less appreciable as his fan base grows? i don't think so
