Wow... I think my opinion differers consideratably to your twos...

Since Liquid Skin i've kinda gone towards a kewl, funky dancey music scene so this album is a really good step in the right direction. I have to say teh only song I dont like listening to is Sound Of Sounds... Ok, its a bit more electronic, but at the same time it has the great gomez feel to it. Ok, if I have to rank it against other gomez albums, its easily better than liquid skin but not quite as good as Bring It On... It somehow lacks the diversity of Bring It On. The spine tinglying cutesyness of Bubble Gum Years, the funky Whippin Picadilly and Here Comes the Breeze, the rawness of it all...

but to compare In Our Gun to the debute is just insane. They have progressed as a band and I think Gomez will definatly correct this new experimental gomez sounding album for the next one said to be in November time...

It does have its great moments. Shot Shot, Rex Kramer, and In Our Gun just a few of the many standout tracks...

Don't make your mind up about this album after one or two listens, it will grow on you, without a doubt and when it does its reallly fookin infectious - just like the others!
