There are some great sounds and ideas on that album but they are in great need of producing. Each song offers so much but never quite delivers the final blow and it is quite frustrating! In previous releases they have delivered cracking refrains but this one (bar Ballad of Nice & Easy) just doesn't do it. Don't get me wrong I do like the album, but it isn't a cohesive album and nor are the songs. It is just a collection of good sounds that don't gel together and I'm rather disappointed to have waited this long. Live, they were good at the Scala and I will be going and looking forward to the Brixton gig as I know full well that they will deliver an excellent show. Well that's just my view [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
