I just had to chime in: I've been a huge Gomez fan since the first album. I've got a lot of people into them whereever I went. I loved Bring it On and Liquid Skin was a great follow up. As for the new album? It is absolutely amazing! Yes, I miss some thing from the old Gomez. I'm a bit of a hippy and I like the stretched out prog rock bits and the bluesy sound. But I like to dance. I like to party. In Our Gun is an awsome party album. I've never had it easier when it comes to spreading the word about Gomez since I've been blasting my bootlegged CD every so often. by the time it gets to Ruff Stuff people are like: holy shit, this is good! And it is. I mean. Arg. Yes they changed. But for such a big jump, Gomez sure holds it together rather well. This album is awsome. nine carrots. i love everyone.
