Being forcibly held down tightly would be the natural punishment for not turning back over for the shot. Not that I`m against spanking but I think it is a bit much to spank a sick kid when it would have been quicker to just hold her legs and chest down with her butt sticking up for the doc. The incident involved me receiving an injection that I had decided at the time I did NOT want to receive. I was in the hospital & had just come out of recovery for surgery when one of the medics decided I needed an injection of something. My mother was observing & recalled that it took four docs and/or nurses to hold me down (boy age 7, under 50 lbs.) and the fifth one to give the injection. I didn't recall the event but my subconscious seemed to have recorded it & I had to be dragged to get shots for quite a few years afterward. At the time - 1957 - spanking was a regular occurrence in a kid's life & it usually got the desired results. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
