So I was I. My bed saying I was sick and I wasn't lying but then my mom started calling my best friends dad who was a doctor so he came to the house now I was in total panick because then I didn't feel sick so I screamed in my head as my bffs dad walked up the drive way as he walked up to me he. Gave me a thermometer to hold for a second when he left the room I put the thermometer up to my lamp the temp was 101 I thought that was good then my bffs dad walked back in the room now I was in total panick because he opened his medical bag a pulled out 8 shots now I freaked out because I knew they were for me he took two thermometer out of my mouth and said 101 that's not good and said do you mind if you could roll over so I rolled over and I did because he was a doctor and I couldent tell him I felt fine so he pulled my pjs pants down all the way to my ankles and he said this will not hurt only for a second I'll put it in on 3 now I was freaking out because he picked up the cotton ball and felt my butt to find a place to put it in then he started counting 1... 2... 3 he jabbed it in real hard and I screamed and the shot was right in the middle of my but he repeted the same 4 other times and the when he took the last shot it was much bigger than the others a I asked why is the needle so big he said just because but I know he had a reason so he counted to 5 this time this one the neddle was like 4 inches big I was in a total panick the he jabbed in the neddle and It hurt like hell I screamed 4 times louder than the others then he said it wasn't that bad was it and I said "no it did not" then he jiggled my but so the Medicin could go in then he pulled up my pants and said u need two more shot the said to lift up my shirt an she took the cottage ton ball and cleaned my shoulder and the neddle was like the last one on my but he counted 1...2...3 then he jabbed it in real hard he did the same to my other arm then he said pull down your pants to your ankles again he held me down and said I have to take your temiture at first I thought it was another shot but he pulled out his thermometer and jabbed it into my but crack my temp was still 101 then he pulled up my pants and said I'll be back tomorrow for your second round of shots I asked why and he said because your spider to get 8 more shots 6 in the but 2 in the arm and I said why do I need more and he said because your still sick after the shots do you feel better and I didn't feel better so I said no and he said that's why I'll be back tomorrow ok and I said ok and he came back the next day this time in school I had a gaint test that I didnt study for I could study but the down side was I had to get 8 more shot guys never fake being sick it sucks

My attitude during school years was the opposite, Lilly. Whilst time off school was always welcome, it was the era of penicillin shots so I knew that staying home would result in a doctor's visit and the inevitable injection-sore bottom. Whenever I felt unwell, therefore, I tried to disguise the symptoms as long as possible but that only ensured that by the time my illness became obvious I would have to get what I dread most. Rolling over in bed for those shots on house calls was bad enough but going to the doctor was even worse because I had to bend over the receptionist's lap for them and the embarrassment of a girl watching me injected in the bare bottom was worse than the pain.

When all my travel inoculations expire at once, I also get eight injections in one session (four in each cheek) and, similar to your experience, the nurse always begins with the least painful ones so that I know each shot will hurt more than the previous one. Not surprisingly I often can't sit down for a couple of days after getting them. What about you? How long before you could sit down after getting all those shots?

I get your meaning. I also grew up in that Era!(Born 1958) and every kid feared those Penicillin shots. They never went in the arm, always in the bottom. I believe that was what brought kids to playing doctor. We did a lot of roleplay as we would emulate everything we saw and experienced in life so all shots we gave while playing were in the bottom since that was Where we got them.
The same went for temperature taking. Children almost always get them in the butt so it was
only in natural for us to do it the same. Ever
had that experience in playing!
