No, never bothered me, I was never embarrassed, or had any problem with people seeing me nude or with pants down while having medical stuff done. It's why find posters on here saying they were embarrassed at age 5 etc. 5 years, ya right.

The veterinary, five inch glass rectal thermometer has been ideal for taking the rectal temperature of an 8 to 10 year old not considered capable of responsibly managing a glass oral thermometer placed in the mouth. It allows deeper penetration and firmer contact with the lining of the rectal interior more so than a standard four inch glass rectal thermometer in that age group. By removing the glass ring off the non-entry end and shaping and polishing it off to a slightly dull point, it looks to be a larger and thicker, four inch glass rectal thermometer. The non-entry end also makes a larger presentation of the non-entry end when in use.
