My wifes brother and his family lived next door to us and what happened at his house or mine was common knowledge between the two households. My wife's brother,John and his wife Jane had twin boys, both seven years old and in the second grade. This is the story as was told to us by both John and Jane. One of the twin boys developed a habit, after school had been going for about two months, of crapping in his pants about ten o'clock every morning. The teacher would send him home and call Jane and tell her what had happened and he was on his way home. Jane took him to the doctor and nothing was found physically wrong with him. We had just had a psyschiatrist (sp) appointed to the county staff and Jane next took him there. Evidently the diagnosis was "a problem he would outgrow, just be patient." The youngster would come home and his Mom would clean him up and he would lie around all day watching t.v. until school let out and then he would go out and play with his friends. John, the father, was really upset when Jane said the teacher said he would have to repeat the second grade if he missed many more days of school. That evening John did a lot off yelling and stomping around the house and threatening. The next day when John came home for lunch his son was home watching t.v. John got angry again and threatened his son who told him he better not spank, the doctor said itwas normal and he would outgrow it. So, he better leave him alone or he would tell the doctor on him. John took the boys pants off and paddled him good. put him back in bed and went in a few minutes later and whipped him with his leather belt. He went back a few minutes later and spanked him again. In front of the boy he told Jane if he messed his pants again, call him at work and he would come home and whip him with that leather belt until he bled. He didn't have to spank him again and the youngster passed the second grade. No enema needed.
