First enema was early around 5-6 years old. Given by mom over the lap with a bulb. I was around 12 when she decided to stop.

I'm not going to rewrite the story of my first enema (the nurse incident) because I'm tired of it. Suffice to say it was another of the traumatic milestones of my childhood, and though my parents only used enemas (disposables) a very few times after that, they were able to use the prospect of an enema and/or a nurse visit as a threat.
