Subject: Yet again!!!! JVC HM-DR10000EU

I first thought that EU means European Union, but what it really means folks is EMPTY UNIT. One of the main scopes of buying this unit was to DV in and DV out. So what can I say!??? I bought this unit from Italy and the guys at Media World were so exited in selling it to me. It was the only unit they had imported and had been on the shelves for 7 months. With no DV out the unit is just a normal DVHS recorder which costs a lot of money. As for picture quality, a slight deterioration is evident on recordings on digital cassettes. Colours are fader, and the picture is not as crisp as the original. I had really tought this would be the last VCR I would ever buy, but just 3 weeks after buying it I already looking around for a serious contender which offers DV out and a way of backing up those whopping 500 titles just in case tape navigation system goes nuts! So please dear JVC Europe, could you kindly get your act together and offer us what you offer to the Japaneese, or else you shall be listed in Europe`s black books!!!!
