Hi,

(better late than never =;-))

>Can DVD to DVHS even be done digitally?

Not directly. Nneither from DVD to DVD using a DVD recorder.

>If so, how?

Theoretically you could "DeCSS" the DVD on a computer, convert the data on it to DV an send the DV via DV card and FireWire to any digital recorder with DV-in (most "real" digital recorders have one - D-VHS recorder without MPEG codec of course not, they are IMHO not a "real" digital recorder, more a sort of digital video backup machine).

Regards, Oliver
