Hi,

HD Recorder are a problem, if you want to archive the recordings.
DVD-R is very expensive and has some crucial problems (very small capacity). D-VHS offers a better quality than DVD-R (up to 14,1 mbps vs. 9,8 mbps), a low price as CD-R (50 ct per hour recording) and the amount auf HD Recorders (up to 50 GByte per tape).

If someone is happy with an other recorder type: Fine.
I am happy with D-VHS ...

... and will be, as long as D-VHS or S-VHS tapes exist to record. ;-)
Regards, Oliver
