Subject: Japanese HM-DR10000 Specs Vs Euro Version...

The specs for the Japan version of the JVC D-VHS VCR can be found here...

http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/products/vcr/HM-DR10000.html

...Which leads to a few questions:

1. From these specs, it appears that the Japanese version has I-link Input and Output, a Component Video Output and S-VHS-ET. Can anyone confirm this?

2. If all this extra functionality is available but disabled on the UK/Euro version, is anyone looking for a way to enable this functionality (like enabling DV-in on certain camcorders)

Like a lot of people here, I'm after PC editing so I-link I/O is a necessity, not a luxury. Also, owning 3 video projectors, component video out would be a helpful addition.

If the UK/Euro version had the spec of the Japanese version, I've got the money waiting - I will have 2!

Jas.
