It all depends on how they made the transfer from their master (most probably BETA SP or DigiBETA) to the DVHS deck.

Since there are no DVHS cameras (to my knowledge), any demo is made with a transfer from a master (see above) to a DVHS deck, through either the S-VHS plug or, maybe, those obscure MPEG i/o that sit unused and hidden on the back of all our decks.

In STD & LS3 modes res is 720x576 ; the former has a data rate of 14Mb/s, the latter drops to 4,7Mb/s.
In HS mode, res is 1920x1080, with a data rate of 28Mb/s. (Now, that's what I call HD!)
