Hi Robert, unfortunately the only place you can get hold of this machine at the moment is in Japan. The US launch has been indefinetely postponed due to copyright protection issues. I have one which I got a friend in Japan with contacts with wholesalers to ship to me, total cost of $1650 including D conerter cable. This compares quite favourably to the US suggested price of $2000. This is a truly outstanding machine and is the only one "at the moment" that can allow people in non HDTV broadcast areas to view HDTV tapes as it has its own built in decoder. e-mail me @ sheggsl@yahoo.com if you would like to know more
