lol, that is funny, sorta.

But for your rebuttals of #3
1) do those "studies" show causation? or only correlation? prolly only correlation. dumb people don't read, thus there is positive correlation, whoopdie do.
2) as for the study hall argument, I'd say sure, you can do you busy work in there, but the REALLY good students finish their busy work in class and do their essays at home (need to type paper on comp). Moreover, we can weigh this "semi-benefit" against other pressing issues, such as wasting of time.
3) most "good students" could make up tests before or after school. that is what I did alst year. and the bad students don't count, as per your argument #2.

5) can't hire more teachers for classes? Teachers are hired to do enrichment, so instead they could teach classes. moreover, many students could choose to do study hall anyway, and this would be more cost efficient since in a study hall class, the student to teacher ratio can be much higher than in typical homerooms.
