Turning to Mina, he let out a slow breath, debating on if he should scoop her up as a parent does a child or some other method. Screw it. Drawing closer to Mina, his features became like ice as he lowered his form to hers, scooping her up in a gentle embrace that was meant in the strictest sense of being functional. Keeping his eyes from the other female he glanced at Kosses with a pained expression. Once again, his past has come up and bit him in the ass hard. Ouch. Any one have bandaids?*
