The watched the conflict that raged between the two male’s stares. Biting her lip as she pondered what to do, her eyes fell to the gift that was in her hands. She would have eagerly avoided the entire conversation about what she would do with the remainder of the afternoon, but that was the problem to be settled. ‘How about a quick lunch with Ferdie, then you and I can do what you wanted to...how’s that Alairic?’ Her eyes darted from each male hoping for a positive agreement between them. Her eyes lingered upon Ferdie as she silently asked him if that would content him. Alairic was her future husband after all, he was entitled to spend afternoons with her but she would also enjoy spending the afternoon with the other male. She wished she was capable of invited Ferdie along with them- but it wasn’t her place to do so. And she had the feeling it wouldn’t work out with Alairic in the mood he was in. Her eyes left Ferdie and a more concerned expression fell upon her features as she gazed upon Alairic. He wasn’t himself today, and she doubted it was just his jealous attitude making his day miserable. Was something wrong with him?
