Thalanor Mountain Pass

The road continues north, eventually turning into a rough pass. The ascent is rather steep for a road. Though passable at this point, merchants or others with wagons would find the going difficult. As the ascent continues, the 'slightly difficult' becomes 'trecherous.' The road dwindles down to merely a rocky path winding through the mountains, large boulders on each side. The way is hard, and steep...

The Northern Road

A graceful blonde lady enters the trecherous pass astride a young white mare. Her long blonde hair flies behind her as she trots on the mare, sky blue eyes gazing around. She brushes some dust off of her elegant blue riding dress, humming an old English folk song of her descent to herself. Suddenly a hawk swoops down from the sky to grab a nearby mouse for its lunch. The white mare rears in fright, throwing her mistress from her back. The woman falls to the ground, head hitting a rock. She lies unconcious as her horse gallops off.
