:she leapt into a tree nearby, crawling carefully and silently into the tree the buck was stripping of it's bark, poised to leap, teeth bared... She was in the perfect position to 'fall' and land on his back, and to break his neck... Yet she waited, wolf instinct telling her of the dangers of messing with a full-grown buck instead of one of the smaller does or fawns, as it also encouraged the hunt and told her to wait... Wait for the perfect moment. Foolishly, perhaps, she partially trusted the vampyres... She knew they were capable of hunting... So she allowed them to make the first move, still peering down ever so silently at the buck, unknowing and still stripping bark from the tree below her...:
