I'm really, really hoping the "Willow tries to destroy the world" plotline is wrong.

I just can't see Willow changing from what we've seen through now to a nihilistic (or despairing) threat on a par with Glory -- and for Buffy to not be able to forgive Willow, when she forgave Angel for much the same thing, not very in-character ... especially since Willow's "pain," or grief, should easily match the Angel versus Angelus angle of the Acathla arc.

Sadly, it all seems legit, and makes some semblance of sense with how this season has been written. Great, Willow becomes a pointless Big Bad because she's hurting ... and aside from the magical threat of it, this is different from Buffy running away at the close of S2 how? Sure, the end of the world bit, but Willow's trying to close off/run away from her pain the same way Buffy did, yes? Why do I even try? :)

To quote Doctor Smith, "Oh the pain, the pain of it all."

Take it and run.
