I can only think of one show that actually did finish off ALL the main characters; the old (and, in my view, not all that good) Blake's Seven. In brief, the bad guys win and the good guys find their most logical destination: unmarked graves on a jerkwater planet in the back-end of infinity.
Logically, there can be no good end for the Scoobies; if ME tries to do so it will be untrue to its own show. Eventually . . .
