Right? There are lots of sensational rumors, but I think that's all they are at this point. Every time there's been a controversial scene this year there have been rumors that "the big cheeses at the network" made ME make cuts. But I haven't seen or heard anything from ME confirming this. If anyone's seen interviews or comments from Joss or the writers saying they've actually made changes because of network pressure, please post them--it would be nice to know for sure!

The only thing I've heard for real is Steve DeKnight's comments that Joss had them change Spike's makeup in the alley beating scene in "Dead Things," but that was for artistic reasons, because he felt the gore detracted from the emotional content.
