Subject: season 4, season 6

This concerns some spoliers for season 6, but all of them were acquired here so there shouldn't be any problem.

Has anyone noticed that things that were done in a funny, non-serious way in season 4 are starting to come true? I've been getting some friends to watch from the beginning and so I have been noticing things. Some of them I can still find funny because I remember how I saw them at the time. But some are now spoiled for future viewers.

In "The Freshman" Buffy is buying books and says something like, "Can't wait till mom gets the bill for these books. I hope it's a funny aneurysm."

In "Where the Wild Things Are":
XANDER: Anya, this is crazy. (Anya crosses her arms, glares at him) We had a little fight. It just means that we have to work our way through some stuff. It doesn't mean that we rebound with the evil undead. (Spike looks offended) And what have we been doing with him anyway?

There are other, less dramatic moments that cause the same little cringe. Has anyone noticed these things? Little moments, like promises that a character makes that are broken in 6th, or happy moments that are destroyed by knowledge of the future?
