Actually, I've been thinking pretty much the same thing -- that what you probably have is two dimensions, each equally real, not one reality and one fantasy world.

However, another thought has occurred to me. You've probably seen that one of the (totally unconfirmed and possibly utterly bogus) titles for the Season Finale that has been floating around is "Real". When I first saw this -- before the Wildfeeds and spoilers came out for Normal Again, but after we already knew that Buffy would think she was in a mental institution -- it occurred to me that that might suggest that the whole issue of what was real and what not, opened in Normal Again, might not be completely settled until the last episode. In other words, the last scene of Normal Again as reported in the Wildfeed might not be the last word on the subject.

Of course, if that title is utterly bogus it means nothing.
