Well, I like -

4. The tendency for all matter and energy in the universe to evolve toward a state of inert uniformity.

- because if ME are using the title with this meaning in mind, it would seem that the Gang are finally going to start getting their act together, and become a cohesive unit once more.

However, in the light of these spoilers I'm reading, I'm more inclined to think that ME have -

5. Inevitable and steady deterioration of a system or society.

- in mind. I mean, if Tara dies, Willow falls off the wagon in a big way, Anya sleeps with Spike, Xander falls apart, does this mean that there will be only Buffy and Dawn who are finally coming together? And what part will Giles (I'm assuming nothing has changed regarding ASH's contraction for a couple more episodes?) play in this? Will he be called on by Buffy to come back and try to deal with whatever fallout is caused by Willow's retaliation?

Oh, dear, after 'The Gift', would it be too much to ask for a happy ending, *sigh*?

Marie
