After reading your reply, I must say, I had to agree. It was a rather literal interpretation of the imagery. But then I was inspired to re-view the episode 'I Robot...You Jane' and I noticed some startling points.
First off...some Macbeth references ('We shall meet anon', 'We three', the character name Malcolm). These could all relate to Willow's future involvement with Witchcraft.
Next, the introduction of Jenny Calender, Computer teacher and TechnoPagan ( and also, of course, Clanswoman of the Romani girl that Angel ate).
Third, Buffy calling Willow 'a thing of evil' for not telling her about Malcolm.
Fourth, Xander's comment 'for those of us in the studio audience, who are me'. This may indicate that clues are being given to us viewers.
Then we have the scene in which Giles and Jenny are performing the ritual to bind Moloch. Just before they complete it, Moloch has his hand on Willow's head, ready to break her neck. At that moment the spell is completed and Moloch is bound to his robotic body. It is possible that at this point some evil bad-guy transference thing may have occured (although there were no fx to indicate this).
Finally, from this episode there are some other, more perplexing references, such as RoboMoloch's ' I know the secrets of your kings'.

Also, an EvilWillow has been shown twice before, in the form of VampWillow ('The Wish', and 'Dopplegangland'). I believe it is generally agreed that these episodes foreshadow EvilWillow (not to mention GayWillow!). However, on both occasions Willow (being a vampire) is evil through demonic intervention. In addition to this, we are only shown VampWillow (in 'The Wish') through demonic intervention-the wish being granted by Anyanka, the vengeance demon. The appearance of VampWillow in 'Dopplegangland' is brought about by a spell cast by Willow and Anya (at Anya's insistence) to retrieve Anya's pendant, which will restore her Demonity (is that a word?).

There is also a scene in an episode of S6 (I think..I can't remember which ep) in which Willow, supposedly cutting down on magic, is attempting to download some information from the internet. To speed things up she places her hand on the monitor screen, there is a faint glow, and she has recieved the information psychically, apparently connecting with the 'Net herself.

I shall be continuing this search, and I shall let you all know of my findings.
