Subject: I'm also disgusted with Buffy.

With respect to Marie, I'm also really disturbed by the thought that ME may never make Buffy face up to her behavior with Spike. I'm *trying* to hold out hope that they will somehow acknowledge Buffy's abuse, but my money's not on it right now because they don't seem to be going in that direction at all.

I just read the shooting script for Entropy (link on the main board), and I don't remember the line during the ep., but apparently she was supposed to correct an assumption by Dawn that Spike had dumped her by saying *she* ended it and that Spike had gotten stalkery. And that just pisses me off even more.

The shooting script also includes a line that implies that Buffy is initially going to pound Spike after he spills the beans, but then decides not to. I don't know... that might've helped a *little*, but I didn't get that at all from SMG's playing of the scene.

I'm with Anne in worrying that ME is using this scene to generate sympathy for Buffy and to retroactively cast all Spike's actions in a more negative light because they didn't get that across right the first time -- assuming that's what they were even going for.

And if they have Anya apologize to Xander or regret sleeping with Spike... I think that will complete my disgust with this season and where the characters have gone.

And maybe it makes me a bad person, but right now I'm not seeing how Spike trying to force sex on Buffy is a whole lot worse than Buffy beating the crap out of Spike in that alley.
