This is my first time visiting this web site. I have been in UBF for three years. I used to party and do drugs, but I got sick of this lifestyle and wanted to be free. I began reading Luke's Gospel and praying the Lord's Prayer (it was all I knew, I grew up Catholic), and I was fished by a Korean missionary soon after I began to have desire to live a new life. I was born again (if you believe that's possible) at a UBF Easter Bible Conference in 1998). I was so happy that I meet Jesus and loved going to Friday meetings and sharing my testimony and I loved to attend Sunday worship service and I stayed for both services. I began to teach the Bible to my best friend, not because my shepherd told me to do so, but because I wanted others to know Christ. With that I began to feed sheep. And I as I 'grew up' as a shepherd, I was chosen to deliver messages, and so forth. My experience in UBF has been positive for the most part. I have been encouraged through testimony writing which I could meditate on the word of God (by the way, this is not the only way I meditate on the word of God and the other method is not daily bread) and I have been blessed many times through message writing. Many times my shepherd has helped me to grow up through pointing out something that is hindering me. All the times my shepherd has rebuked me, which has been few, it was rightly done and it led to repentance and restoration to JESUS. I acknoledge that Dr. Lee does play a very authoritarian role in UBF, but I myself am not in Chicaman of God and go your own ways. You don't want to start a reformation in UBF, but tear it down. If you have problems with UBF you can go to another church, but are you sure that God did not call you to serve campus ministry? Look closely at your life and God's guidance and see who is wrong in this matter. This site is so grieving because UBF is the genuine work of God. I hope God will forgive you. I pray that you will see things clearly. I don't doubt anyone salvation because they left UBF. I don't think all churches besides UBF are weak, but there are many powerful ones. God is working through UBF and you are attacking the way that God is working. I am not asking you to come back to UBF, I am not asking you to stop what you are doing, I am just asking to think seriously about what you are doing. In Christ, Shepherd Mike. LBUBF.
