Subject: For the sake of the children...

If a parent agrees that the problem of leadership in UBF is a fundamental and critical problem, then why stay for the sake of the children? Is it really helping children to stay in a ministry with such a foundational problem? Does not the tacit consent teach the children that it is OK? And that we do not have to call leaders to account nor point it out when they do severe wrong? Maybe it might help the children in the short run to feel more comfortable but in the long run it seems to be building up and even more twisted organization. Is that really the kind of situation you want your children and grand children to be in?

Or, is it better to try to help them get on the right course? The problems UBF faces are not tangential, peripheral or inocuous. The problem is a severe disregard for Biblical truth, for the message is that a leader can do whatever he wants without question. That is very dangerous and I would not want my children in such an organization because only greater trouble will occur down the line.

Think twice before you stay in UBF just because you think it is good for your kids. You could be setting them up for real disaster later on.
