Grief was upon the stallion for his love and daughters were gone. He was, once again, alone. Suddenly pain shot through his skull as he received the plea of the Lady. The onyx stallion, normal outside, began to transform.

His onyx coat turned to pure white. Gold rippled throughout his plume, tresses, and daggers. Fire alit in his usually steely orbs, and showed great power. The steed looked deep inside himself at the flame of power he held and brought it to the surface.

The maiden's plea stirred him. He could naught deny who he was and suddenly green wings like that of a dragon sprout from his sides. Powerful beats and stunning speed brought him to the Lady's aid. When will you learn to stay out of trouble? Spoke he with his heart to the heart of the Lady. A slight sense of delight was in his fiery depths but was soon replaced with hate for the dark Prince.
